bike accident recovery
In this episode we'll learn about her version of adventure, she will also walk us through her accident, recovery and the many ways she continues to be brave.

I heard from a few of you that you enjoyed hearing from my 7 YO last week.  I’ll continue this week with my 10 YO daughter.  As you may or may not know, my daughter had a severe bike accident in 2022 and spent the first part of the year with two full arm casts.  In addition to learning about her version of adventure, she will also walk us through her accident, recovery and the many ways she continues to be brave.

Key Takeaways

  1. Be a blessing.  From the strangers on the trail to friends taking us in, we were wrapped in love and support from so many different people.

  2. At first things can be scary but it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Accept help, walk before riding, and recognize things will be different.

  3. Do you have a routine to remember the adventure by?  Routines and rituals can be great triggers to help remind you of memories later.

  4. Adventure is not dirty, it is beautiful.

  5. Don’t let your disability for a short time hold you back.
